Our Scratch Repair Pricing Guide

At Basco Collision, we understand that vehicle scratches—whether minor or deep—can be frustrating. While every repair is unique, we have created an approximate pricing guide to help you understand the typical time and cost range for scratch repairs based on vehicle type.

Bumper Repairs: All You Need to Know

For decades, collision repair facilities have routinely repaired plastic bumpers. These repairs were straightforward, cost-effective, and safe. Over the past five years, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have significantly transformed the way we evaluate and repair bumper damage.

Bumper Repairs Are No Longer Always Safe: Many modern vehicles feature advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including blind spot sensors and radar devices, which are typically installed just behind or close to the bumper cover. These sensors rely on precise calibration and unobstructed signal transmission to function properly. Even minor repairs—such as filling gouges or repainting—can interfere with sensor performance.

Please Note: While we continue to offer expert bumper repairs, any damage near ADAS components may require bumper replacement to ensure proper sensor function and compliance with OEM standards. All bumper repairs or replacements must be evaluated in person by one of our estimators. We do not adhere to generic pricing or repair assumptions when ADAS systems are involved.
